About The Inner Voice Project

What Shapes Us
We are shaped by inherited expectations and untold truths. Our sense of worth, success, and belonging is often guided by quiet rules we did not choose. The Inner Voice Project exists to explore those patterns, the unseen influences that shape how we see ourselves and how we move through the world.

The Story
It began with one hard truth: our fears often trace back to the cultural blueprints that told us who to be and what enough looks like. Those expectations can turn ambition into anxiety and accomplishment into self-doubt. The Inner Voice Project examines how these fears evolve into impostor syndrome and how awareness, reflection, and honest conversation can help us begin to unlearn them.

Understanding the Patterns
Dr. Valerie Young describes five competence types behind impostor feelings: the Perfectionist, the Expert, the Soloist, the Natural Genius and the Superhuman. Each exposes how we set standards so high that our confidence becomes conditional. Each episode explores what happens when we rewrite the stories our inner voice has been repeating.

The Purpose
I invite you to turn inward. To recognize that the voice you doubt often holds the truth you seek. By naming what feels uncertain, we begin to reclaim the parts of ourselves we once hid.

The Mission
My mission is to explore how confidence, connection and self-trust emerge once we lean into our inner voice.
